Uh huh. You're one of the people suing Microsoft, aren't you? Tell you what. We'll have you and someone else. You can choose this rock I found on the ground OR a cycling helmet. I'll get a hammer and smash it into your skull.

Next thing we lack is me doing the damage necessary to bring common sense back into the world.

I want to see Roman Legionnaire-style Paragons wandering around Guild Wars...

So that I can outfit my Warrior to look like one of the Vandals and sack Rome.

In all seriousness, though, it is a really good idea.

In terms of giving paragon a helmet, I hope it leaves the option out for those who choose to stick with the crest instead.

I personally don't like helmets unless it has wings on them (pretty ones with nice designs of course)... otherwise, gems are normally a girl's best friend

Some of you were saying helms do not fit paragon armors then what about a bandana? a bandana does not fit for any armors, actually it doesn't even belong to the time of Guild Wars. Most stand-alone headgears do not fit with most armors anyway, so I don't see any reason paragon do not have helms due to that matter.

Bandana's are just for fun. I'm against giving Paragons helmets, hell, I'm against them existing, though if the helmet has wings then I think it would be cool.

If what you said about bandanas are for fun is true then I don't think bandanas should have max armor to each profession at all instead armor rating should be set to 0 just like any festival hats. As for paragon's helm should look fairly nice for most armors.

Festival hats are generally only supposed to be worn at a certain time of the year; e.g. Santa hats at Christmas. The PvE accessories, however, are not bound to any time of the year and so it seems more logical to give them an armour level, thus allowing you to use them in PvE/P. As for the helmets, I doubt ANet will be implementing such a trivial thing when most of their efforts are on GW2.

The pictures in the OP are interesting. Not sure if I'm 100% sold on the poncy feathery bits though. I still like the Crests Paragons wear, but "/signed" because variety in playing the game is always good.

What about the Demon hat? Personally I feel it should act as "Camouflage" in the Realm of Torment

Edited by Celestial Beaver: Sardelac Sanitarium tolerates bumping older threads, or "thread necros", as you put it, since starting a new thread in order to discuss an already established topic is against the guidelines.

No, Paragons resemble more skirmishers than Hoplites/Phalangites, that's why a Corinthian Helmet seems retarded while a pilos seems more appropriate (while it outclassed the Corinthian helmet by miles anyway - thus marking its decline).
You are just forgetting one thing... this is a game, not real life.
Inside the game story, the Sunspears use helms, thats a fact.
But i wouldnt use a full-helm with someone who is shouting and singing at the battle, it might block the sound-wave? So i see no point of using it with a character that is BASED on it.
But also, i find stupid to wear a little gem to protect my head if i am going to the middle of the battle and see arrows and enemies pass by me.

At the end... i really dont care, i play as a mesmer anyways =]

Yeah, we saw Sunspear NPCs wearing helms so Sunspear armor for paragon should have helm as well as it should goes the same for the Monument armor.
